Enterprise systems

Your current systems, connected to your operation’s context, without replacing anything

ERP, CRM, financial, industrial, service, transport and inventory systems: that is where the company’s work actually happens, often for decades.

You keep what works. Your systems start talking to each other, and the knowledge they hold becomes context for agents and people to decide better.

A back-office professional working two enterprise systems at once

What is it?

They are the programs that record and run the business — order, invoice, payment, inventory, delivery, service. Each was built for one purpose, and almost never to talk to the others.

Why does it matter?

Because the answer a customer is waiting for usually sits in three systems at once — and today it is a person bridging them by hand.

How does it work?

We expose each system’s functions securely and consistently, build the links between them, and keep clear rules and permissions about who can do what.

What changes?

A request crosses the whole company without anyone copying information from screen to screen — and the legacy stops being a limit.

An example: one request across four systems

The same request, with and without the bridges in place.

Today

  1. Customer
  2. Service rep
  3. CRM
  4. ERP
  5. Spreadsheet
  6. Delivery system
  7. Customer

After

  1. Customer
  2. Connected service desk
  3. ERP and CRM talking
  4. One single answer

The company’s own rules still apply — now applied consistently, and on record.

Where this fits: this is where your operation connects. Without this bridge, agents only talk; with it, they do the work inside your systems.

Signs you need this

  • “The same information is typed into two or three systems.”

  • “The ERP works, but no one can get data out of it quickly.”

  • “Every update to the management system becomes a long, expensive project.”

  • “Different departments use different tools for the same thing.”

Where AI comes in

Management systems hold the business rules. Connected to them, AI agents look up information and carry out tasks under the same rules — and in SAP, SAP’s own AI platform lets business teams build their own agents.

The systems we usually find

Each system holds part of the company’s information. In most cases, the challenge lies in the integration between them.

Four ways to bring a system into the flow

The choice considers what each system allows and the level of risk the operation accepts.

  1. 01

    Open an access door

The system starts offering its functions in a standard, controlled way to whoever is authorized.

  2. 02

    Announce when something happens

Instead of someone checking every hour, the system itself announces when an order changes status.

  3. 03

    Automate through the screen

When no other integration method is available, a robot operates the system interface as a temporary, monitored solution.

  4. 04

    Store the meaning

Each piece of information gets a single definition, so people, reports and agents speak the same language.

The platforms we work on

These are the systems our clients’ businesses run on — and where the experience of the Atos South American operation now inside Semantix counts most.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about enterprise systems

What is RISE with SAP?

It is SAP’s offering that bundles S/4HANA in the cloud, infrastructure, support and transformation tools in a single contract. Semantix leads the migration and can run the environment afterwards.

How long does an S/4HANA migration take?

It depends on the size and customization of the environment. At Marcopolo — three countries and over 4,000 users — the migration from ECC to RISE with SAP was completed in under 10 months, with heavy use of automation.

What changes for companies still on SAP ECC?

SAP ends ECC mainstream maintenance in 2027, with optional extended maintenance until 2030. Planning the migration early reduces risk, cost and deadline pressure.

Can we apply AI to the systems we already have?

Yes. AI agents work on top of existing SAP, ERP and CRM systems — reading, validating and recording information — without replacing them. Integration runs through APIs, with Link API.
